FINISHING, MARKING, AND SERIALIZATION
Tera Automation offers various solutions for the finalization of investment ingots. To be released on the market, an ingot must meet certain qualitative standards (purity and weight) and display a series of traceability details. Weight control, finishing, marking, and serialization are the key steps to producing high-quality ingots.
SOLUTIONS FOR INGOT MARKING
T-BRUSH
Finishing and brushing ingots
The T-Brush™ machine is designed to automate mirror finish polishing of precious metal ingots.
Our brushing machine is specifically conceived to make sure that operators never touch the brushes. Operators will have to insert the ingots which need to be polished, and extract the polished ones, whenever this task is not carried out by an anthropomorphic robot.
The machine can be set choosing from all its different configurations, according to the size and weight of the ingots that the company wishes to polish.
It is equipped with customizable templates and a set of interchangeable brushes.
Because the brushing process generates waste, the T-Brush™ brushing machine is fitted with a suction fan which is also extremely useful to keep the working area hygienic and clean.
T-FINISHING
Integrated serialisation and ingot stamping system
To say that T-Finishing™ is just a machine would be an understatement, since it combines several tools necessary for the final processing steps of precious metal ingots in one working station. The standard machine configuration includes a hydraulic press for the logo stamping and a micro-dot marking machine for the serialization of numerical data. However, thanks to its circular shape, the machine can be equipped with many integration tools, such as the laser marking machine or an optical visor (T-Photo Viewer) for quality control.
With the T-Finishing™ process, it is possible to stamp the serial number and mark the company's logo on gold and silver ingots of various size.
This system can significantly increase production levels, optimize time dedicated to each process and reach full autonomy, can be equiped with a robot which can pick and place ingots on the automated cell.
T-NUMBERING
Automatic marking machine for serialisation
One single machine with a very compact size lets you apply logos, serial numbers or customized texts on metal surfaces thanks to its column-mounted marking tool with electromagnetic micro-percussion marking stylus.
The T-Numbering™ marking system does not engrave, but it performs micro markings; therefore, the metal is not removed, but just flattened.
The main advantage of this machine is the absence of metal loss.
This innovative solution, which represents an alternative to traditional presses, allows marking different types of images, fonts or numbers on precious metal ingots and other types of surfaces, without needing to buy different stamps or bulky machines.
It is recommended to opt for a stand-alone T-Numbering™ in the case of small-sized or small to medium-sized production.
T-VISION
Vision System & Data Storing
T-Vision™ is designed to detect and check serial numbers applied by dot-matrix (not by press) on gold and silver bars. It allows a continuous matching check of the serial number applied on the bar with the one expected by the system. It also allows the archiving of photos of each ingot.
T-WM
Integrated ingot weighing and serialisation system
T-WM™ (Weight and Mark) is an integrated module in which ingots are easily handled using a roller conveyor to position them on the electronic scale and micro-percussion marking machine.
The final weight of the ingot is read from the scale and transferred to the serialisation unit, which applies the corresponding value on the surface of the ingot.
This system is particularly suitable for large format ingots and Good Delivery bars, but can also be used for smaller formats if required.
T-ECOPRESS
Pneumo-hydraulic press for pressing and marking
T-Ecopress is an innovative pneumo-hydraulic press designed for pressing and marking, characterised by a C-shaped structure that provides easy access to the working area.
THE 4 PHASES OF INGOT FINALIZATION
Weight control
Compliance with the weight standard is the first and essential characteristic an ingot must have. To ensure the highest possible precision, we use analytical weight measurement cells with a resolution of 0.01g.
Finishing
This involves polishing the ingot to a mirror finish.
Marking
This is a fundamental process in ingot production and must include information such as weight, manufacturer, origin, and serial number.
Serialization
This includes various operations, such as logo marking, numerical serialization, and quality control.
