HOW OUR
T-BARMASTER ONE - SMART™ WORKS

The fully automated T-Barmaster One-Smart™ allows the production of perfect mirror surface ingots of different design.

It takes the form of a tunnel that is composed of three distinct inner chambers where precious metal grains are melted to be molded into ingots.

The entire tunnel is perfectly sealed with patented Pinch Valves™ technology at entry and exit. This pneumatic valves system permits the isolation of the internal chamber from the external environment.

THE THREE CHAMBERS

The mold is driven by an automated ‘pusher’ into the melting chamber. By means of the induction heating the precious metal grains are perfectly melted.

Thanks to the HMI, the operator has the possibility to supervise and control the entire process and therefore to reach the desired product quality. As soon as the melting interval ends, a second push leads the liquid metal filled mold onto a solidification plate. Neither mechanical lifters nor chemical additives are used in this transition.

A well-run solidification process is essential for the attainment of flawlessly finished ingots.

The ingot is then pushed into the cooling chamber and lastly through the exit Pinch Valve™.

Conveyor Belts - Automated loading and unloading of ingot molds

Thanks to this accessory, the operator only has to load the ingoing belt with molds full of precious metal and then s/he may go to other jobs. S/he then returns after an hour to remove the ingot containing mold that has just exited from the T-Barmaster One - Smart™ Induction Tunnel Furnace. Without this accessory, an operator is continuously needed around the furnace to handle the molds.

Conveyor Chain™

The molds, on exit from the Tunnel Furnace, are transported on the Conveyor Chain™ to the human operator, who removes the ingots and subsequently refills the molds with metallic grain for the next sequence in the Tunnel Furnace.

Pinch Valves™ – Patented solution

Our patented pneumatic Pinch Valve™ is vital to the perfect sealing of the inner chambers of the Tunnel Furnace, located at the entry and exit points of the mold transport. This perfect sealing contains the inert gas internal atmosphere that prevents mold deterioration due to oxidation. Even minor deterioration of the mold results in an imperfect ingot. This perfect sealing is also crucial to the ingot mold life, presently 350-400 production cycles instead of 40-50.

AISI 304 stainless steel has a high resistance to oxidation and reduces the losses of the electromagnetic field. The larger the induction power, the stronger the magnetic field.

Self-regulated temperature by pyrometer

This optional accessory monitors the melting temperature of each cycle to ensure its consistency. The Pyrometer ensures a consistent and standardized production of the glossy mirror surface.

nitrogen

T-Nitro™ - Nitrogen Generator

The T-Barmaster One - Smart™ Induction Tunnel Furnace contains an inert gas atmosphere. There are two possible ways to supply the nitrogen: by bottles or by T-Nitro. Using bottles creates various difficulties: cost of transportation, risk of supply delays, need to have a dedicated and confined space, periodic checks on safety and maintenance, etc. In addition, such low quality nitrogen has a negative effect on the quality of the ingots. These problems result in unpredictable and significant costs. Our T-Nitro™, specifically designed for the Tunnel Furnace electromagnetic fields, guarantees a continuous production of pure nitrogen (up to 99,999%) of top quality, perfectly filtered and dehydrated. This means that you can use T-Nitro™ not only for the Tunnel Furnace, but also for other departments in your factory where nitrogen gas is required (annealing, protection during brazing, cutting and welding, etc.).
